He was born January 21, 1907 in Fruitland, NM to James Edward Annie & Olivia Tietjen Stevens. He Manti Utah LDS Temple. At an early age Mr. Stevens moved to San Juan County, UT where he has lived most of his life. He was a farmer, rancher and heavy equipment operator; served over 13 years as a member of the San Juan County Board of Education, two terms as Blanding City Councilman, married Evvie Elizabeth long-tim- e member of Utah Farm Bu Bass June 1, 1938 in the reau. As an active member of the LDS Church, he served in many positions of leadership and held the office of High Priest. He fulfilled two missions for his church; one to the Western States and later to the Kentucky, Louisville Mission.
