Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Wednesday April 13, 1988 - Page 8 Blood drive set for April 20 The purpose of this course is to help participants improve the way they feel about themselves and to leam new coping skills to deal with stress and day to day life Announcing San Juan Hospital and Beta Delta Chapter, ESA, are sponsoring a Blood Drive in Monticello on Wednesday, April 20, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Monticello Elementary School. The bloodmobile is sponsored in conjunction with Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Third . Annual IMPROVING SELF ESTEEM A program for women who did and didnt attend Provo. Persons ages 18 to 66 may donate blood. Those age 17 may donate with written parental consent. Doners must be in good health and are reminded to eat a good meal prior to donating. By holding a yearly blood drive, Monticello residents are able to receive blood without being charged a replacement fee by those Utah hospitals who charge such a fee. Only sterile equipment is used and needles are discarded after each use. Pearson Golden anniversary The children of and Ruth Pearson are hosting a reception honoring the fiftieth wedding anniversary of their parents. Residents of Monticello for 30 years, the Pearsons were married April 21, 1938. The reception will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 1 3, at the library in Monticello. Friends are invited. No gifts please. R.L. 587-211- 6. Advertising Pays O Cather discussion tonight at 7 Paul Pitts, author and teacher, will lead a discussion tonight on Pauls Case , a short story by Willa Cather. The discussion is the first in a four-par- t series, Explore the World of Willa Cather. A video version of Paul's Case will be shown followed by a group discussion and an evaluation of the story and its video version. The video will be shown beginning at 7 p.m. at Monticello High School. There is no admission fee and the public is invited. School board meeting April 18 The regularly scheduled San Juan County School Board meeting for April will be held on April 18 at Whitehorse High School in Montezuma Creek. The meeting will begin at 12:45 and will adjourn around 5 p.m. The public is invited.
