Once again, this group of crazies came through with a delightful, thoroughly professional production. Noel Cowards Blithe Spirit featured an excellent cast, one of the most professional sets . ever seen in Blanding, impressive special effects, and a thoroughly convincing apparition. (How did they do that?) Any community would be proud to have a group of their caliber. Besides their regular productions, their melodramas are becoming an important part of our 4th of July celebration. Volunteer week Governor and Mrs. Norman Bangerter will present the Silver Bowl Awards to open Volunteer week in Utah on April 19 during a reception in the White Community Memorial Chapel. This year 24 volunteers chosen from throughout the state for their dedicated efforts to community service will be recognized. The winners range from people who help seniors and handicapped with yard work, to a group of youngsters who present alcohol and drug programs. The Silver Bowl Awards are a joint effort of the Utah State Department of Social Services and four voluntary action centers.
