Show THE SAN JUAN RECORD Wednesday September 12, 1984 - Page 8 Broncos lose homecoming game to Devils by Shefla Harrison The' San Juan High School Broncos hosted the Grand County Devils in their homecoming game on September 7 but lost 20-even though they were in there trying until the last second. There wasn't much ball movement during the first half by either team. Moab made a touchdown with 6:43 left in the first quarter but the extra point was not good. In the last two minutes of the first quarter, Bronco 18-- 26 i 14. once again took the lead 20-with only one minute gone in the fourth quarter. Moab ran the ball down the field to first and goal but were unable to score. San Juan recieved the baU but turned it over to the Devils who took advantage, of their field position and scored with 4:09 left in the game. They completed their conversion to 18 quarterback Jaren Adams completed a pass to Jeff Skinny Nielson for a touchdown. Corry Cochran successfully kicked the extra point which left the score 7- -6 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw Moab field goal score on a with ended and the first half Moab ahead 7. During the second half San Juan came alive both on defense and offense.
