On the way home she will visit other family members including her daughter Sandy and family, Maude and Emery Hunt were in town from Mexican Hat last week visiting relatives and doing some business, Marie Redd from Monticello is a new resident at the nursing home, and Mrs, Dale Slade are over the arrival of their happy new baby daughter. I have heard that the workers at Recapture Dam are running two shifts per day that ought to speed things up a bit. Woodrow Simpson is a patient in San Juan Hospital. Last week, LaVeU and Ida Mae Palmer and Bumhard and Lela Black drove to Idaho and Oregon to attend to some business. They enjoyed the lovely four day trip. Mr. - Page -- i ''fe'- W Vrtii- - fiHW li Among those from Blanding who were at Lake PoweU last week are Gary and Carrie Bayles, Craig and Debbie Hall, Steve and CoHeen Burtenshaw, and Don and Patti Palmer. They rented a house boat and had a great time fishing, swimming, and getting away from it all. The senior citizen ride for last Tuesday was very enjoyable. LaVel Palmer drove and we went to Bluff and a bit further south and back. Sure is a nice highway. Sylvan and Jeanie Johnson and Norma Sylvans sister, in Salt were Lake the Patterson, area this past week to visit Keith Johnson, their brother, who ' shut-i- ns is seriously ill, Ed and Yvonne Keele are home from their long stay in Mesa. We hope they wiU stay for at least the summer. Delores and Nellie Hurst and Douglas and Florence Galbraith and a celebrated their 56th wedding anniversaries on June 6. Seems remarkable that two couples from the same town were married the same day and are stiff in the same town to celebrate their for their trip to Washington, RacheUe Shumway, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan M, Shumway, and Kim Hurst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Winston Hurst, will attend the National History Fair with the history projects which won at the state level. Sharon Shumway and son Sheldon of Layton, Utah visited with Sharons mother, SusanButt, rather briefly; on their way through to DaUas, Texas. Dan Barfuss and sons drove to Provo last Wednesday where Gloria is attending school. They attended a wedding over the weekend and then Dan and the boys came home. Gloria and daughter wiU stay in Provo while , Sloan and four youths hired through Job Service work with ice picks and trowels to remove old cement work that was initiaUy used to stabilize the ruin and is now crumbling in places and appears to be modern work.
