He has put in long hours at the clinic and many people say they owe their life to him. ms practice has included Blanding, Bluff and, for a long time, areas on the Navajo reservation. He has been on call seven days a week, driving to the San Juan Hospital for surgery. He seems to always have time to listen and comfort but never has an idle moment. He has worked on inventions, done research, written books and made musical A instruments. He, his wife, Beppy, and their five children have been an asset to Blanding, always accepting any assignment given to them. Dr. Gibbons served as Blanding mayor and accomplished much in this capacity. He was recently honored as Citizen of the Year Blanding annual Chamber of Commerce banquet. Gibbons family will be The in Alexandria, relocating Virginia, this spring where Dr. Gibbons will join a medical group.
