The film series will be a double-ru- n Saturday night at the Bluff Elementary School and Sunday night at Todahadakani. First films will be Luv starring Jack Lemmon and Elaine May and Muhammad Alis Last Fight with Spinks. These movies will be shown Saturday, October 4 in Bluff and Sunday , October 5 in Todahadakani. But not for long, if a group of Monticello citizens has its way. The group voiced its concern to City Council last Wednesday evening. It seems the pig farm is actually located adjacent to the city boundary but will become a part of the city if the proposed Monti- cello annexation is successful. Bill Gilmore and Eileen Ochse of the State Division of Alcoholism and Drugs will present a review of programs which might be used in San Juan County for effective alcohol and drug abuse prevention. The workshop will be of great benefit to educators, church officials, law enforcement personnel, community and chapter leaders, youth leaders, social service workers, county business and industry people, members of the medical profession, and especially parents. Jim Shearer encourages everyone to come and participate. The owners of the pig farm stated that they planned to move the pigs, if they could obtain suitable ground elsewhere. Mayor Redd, requesting that they keep the farm as clean as possible, informed the protesting citizens that until usage of the land is conchanged, the dition principle will apply.
