The Jesse Brimhalls are residents of the nursing Nursing Home Notes home, and DeMar Brimhalls are from Murray, Utah. Carol Black and Deboni Black visited Anna Phillips and Louie Willis. Thursday, March 6: We had a patient meeting where all of the residents met with Kathleen Lyman, our DON, and Mr. Jack, our administrator. We discussed our nursing home and made some suggestions for activities for the future. We elected officers to represent the residents of the nursing home. Cipriano Perea was elected Bruce president; Frost is our new vice president, and Jesse Brimhall and Lucinda Willis are our activity representatives. On Sunday, March 2: Margaret and Orson Dalton's family came to see them: Norma Beeman, her daughter, and grandson, Rex Beeman, his wife Katheryn and baby Jennifer from Moab. LaRay Alexander came to see Irene Redd and Kathryn Carter Friday. Irenes granddaughter, Denise Frost, and her family came to visit Grandma Redd Friday. Gene Blickenstaff and FranceUe visit Irene every day. Donna Black visited Irene Thursday. Guen Smith and Francelle Blickenstaff came in to see Elizabeth Smith and Irene Redd. Guen brought cliff flowers to them. Guen and Francelle are going to Salt Lake City for several days. Terri Harris, pian- Craig Horrocks, grandson of Louie Willis, and his brother Gary came through from Salt Lake and stopped at the nurs home to visit Craig's grandmother, Louie. She was happy to see them. very Elsie Rasmussen came and took Louie Willis, her aunt, to Monticello for dinner and did some shopping. Monday, March 3: A. Helquist was our driver this morning in the Senior Citizens bus. It was a little cooler this morning and we ran into some hail and rain on our way to Montezuma Creek. We went through Recapture, past the creek, past a few oil wells that were in operation and crossed the San Juan River and through town. It rained about all the way back but it was nice in the bus. Thanks, A. Those who went were John Perkins, Jesse and Veda Brimhall, Orson Dalton, Fay Helen Falconer, Mosley, Louie Willis and our aide, Shirley Begay. Ruby said that she graduated with 11 other nurses and us state of the board all passed exams Ruby attributes the success of the class to her in- teachers worked us but they worked very hard, hard themselves. I liked them; they were always willing to help. Ruby found work as a nurse at the San Juan Nursing Home soon after her graduation. She says she enjoyed her job there very much, but her special interest in handicapped children led her to take the Direction Services job when it opened up. Ruby advises anyone who wants to become a nurse to q 190 Its .very satisfying to be able to help people overcome their health problems. My nursing education has also me a lot in taking helped care of my family. Ruby is a 1977 graduate of the practical nursing program of the San Juan Center for Higher Education in Blan-din- g. She is currently emas assistant field ployed coordinator for Carbon School District Direction Services. Direction Services provide reference and directional assistance to the families of handicapped children in San Juan Our 4f mmm . If you want to be a nurse you should be very interested in it; the classes are very demanding and studying for them takes a lot of time.
