Dave Guymon, volunteer driver for the Senior Citizens, is shown here with the van to be used in Blanding and south. Additional vans for southern communities will be obtained in the future. It is anticipated they will be used by senior citizens, handicapped children and others without transportation. By Florence Galbraith Mr. and Mrs. Harold Black of Farmington, New Mexico, spent the last weekend visiting his brother, Marion Black, and his wife Verda. He also visited his mother, Mrs. Sylvia Black, who is a patient at the nursing home. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Rigby and girls Angela and Brenda went to Salt Lake Monday morning in order to see their son Blake off at 6:30 p.m. that evening. He has finished his language training at the school in Provo and wil have his headquarters in Equador. He has been studying Spanish. - Kim Acton has received his call to serve an LDS mission. He will report to the mission home in Salt Lake in August. He is a son of the Phil Actons. The Nelson Jonses from Phoenix spent the weekend here visiting with his parents who are Mr. and Mrs. Cardon Jones and his brother Jones and his family. Mrs. Theressa Redd was made happy on Saturday when her son Tracy and his wife and eight children arrived La-Moy- ne from Lancaster, California, for a visit. Mrs. Redd also had a visit from her son Craig from Rifle, Colorado, over the weekend. The Ervin Guymons had a visit from their sons Gary and Lawrence and their during Sunday School time. w The Inter Tribal held at the football field Saturday night was well attended and was a most colorful affair. The Doug Galbraiths had as guests over the weekend his son Doug, Jr., and his family from Kearns, Utah, and his grandson, Doug III, and his wife and children from Phoenix, Arizona. It was the first time Doug, Sr., had seen his family and lots of Monticello folks. Its good to have Steve and Janet Wilcox and their boys back from their vacation in Idaho. We have missed them. Several members of Ken and Kara Helquists family came for the Nielson reunion over the weekend. Myrtle Redd had most of her family here for the reunion too. Debbie Palmer and Cheryl Black, her girl friend, came to Blanding late Wednesday evening from Salt Lake City ro visit her father, Deputy Sheriff Vee Palmer and Peggy and her two brothers Brian and Kevin Palmer. They also visited Debbys grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Palmer. They were visiting here three days before returning home. Mrs. Fay Jones is back home after visiting some of her children in Arizona for a few weeks. Jessie Lyman, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barton Lyman, came from Provo over the weekend in order to be at the blessing of her brother, Mike's and his wife Joannie's baby girl. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Guymon of St. George and their children came for a visit over the holiday weekend. His parents are pow-wo- first are Manti, 3, great-grandchildr- who en, and Samantha, who is nearly a year old. Needless to say he was pleased. We were sorry to hear of the accident at Lake Powell last weekend in which Garth Bradford had a leg injury. Sure hope he's on the mend by now. Shane Bradford, who was in a car accident several weeks ago and is in a Salt Lake hospital, seems to be somewhat better at this writing. His parents are the Harvey Bradfords.
