Show County Commission Report CO Something new... 1975 By Nell Dalton Monday, April 7th Lynn Adams, Doug Pehrson and H. W. Mr. Adams and Mr. Pehrson plan to attend. Redshaw The groceries meat gested better routine maintenance and yearly cleanouts of all culverts in the County. In the minutes read by Clerk Clytie Barber, it was noted that bids had been awarded to Black Oil Company for tires and for gasoline and diesel fuel. Monticello L.P. Gas was awarded the bid for L.P. gas at 24. 5f per gallon. Black Oil Company was the bid for grease and oil. It was stated that Dolores County, Colorado had authorized a survey to be taken by San Juan County on the North-da- le Road. Lynn Adams asked the Commission about purchasing storage tanks for L. P. gas. This was rejected for the time being. The County presently rents tanks. Commissioner Black again announced the April 15 meeting with the BLM on the Montezuma Management and Framework Plan. Chairman Black reported that he had received four applications for road foreman in South district. It was agreed that Mr. Black would interview each individual and then review his findings with Commission before he made any recommendation. A swearing -- in ceremony of deputies was conducted by the Commission. Sigman County Recorder Arvilla Warren stated the need for a meeting to discuss wage raises. She was told that this was on the agenda for the near future. It was agreed that the County has more problems than solutions in that area. The current Revenue Sharing Check in the amount of $40, 764 was received by the County. They also met with Lon and Glennis Havens of Bluff who had a letter of petition, with around 35 signatures of Bluff people, to get some improvement done on land around the community well and on land near the Navajo Twins which is used as a park by Bluff residents and others in the County. It was suggested by the Commission that this would be an excellent alternate Project, in case the project of the Ampitheater was disallowed.
