The oral history project will be directed by Dr. Gary L. Shumway, Associate Professor of History at California State University, Fullerton, and Director of that institutions Oral History Program. Professor Shumway is a native of B landing and has been keenly aware of the quality of historical experience in Southeastern Utah, as well as the danger that much of this experience will be forgotten as persons pass away without leaving a written record of their recollections. Local persons who share this interest in preserving the oral history of Southeastern Utah are invited to participate in the project. Dr. Shumway and Dr. Jay M.
