Show 1972 Record 20, April Dick Wing spent Saturday and Sunday up at Halls Crossing. Didnt hear any of their fish stories so I dont know how they did. We had quite a little bit of excitement up at the Canyon-lanLounge Wednesday night. Someone set it on fire. Had lots of sticks, but no weiners, so they put it out. Seriously, quite a bit of damage was done but Im sure youll read it elsewhere in the paper. Buff was finally released ds Juan With San By The PAT PAT DAVIS Im writing this the sun is shining, the boids are While choiping, and all seems right with the world. But it sure went the rounds weatherwise to get back to this kind of day. We may be living in Utah but I betcha a dollar everything is growing in Arizona soil around here. Jerry Dickinsons mom and dad, Ross and Ida Dickinson, are here from Woodworth, North Dakota. They plan on staying awhile and have rented Everetts little trailer for the time theyre here. As small as this town is youd think I could keep up with everyone but darned if I didnt miss Brent Pehrsons birthday on the 13th. Sure ry about that. sor- Dave Stavely, his wife, Joan, and their two youngsters were here from Albuquerque over the weekend. They visited all their friends and former neighbors here. I almost flubbed up on the visitors in Tom Knights home. Kays mom, Sally Van Ess, was here and has returned to her home in Phoenix. Toms mom, Lottie Knight, is still here and Im sure the family is enjoying her stay. Our ambulance had its first official run in the wee, small , hours Saturday morning. A pickup driven by Jimmy Williams of Cow Springs rolled over when he lost control about five miles down the road toward Monument Valley. He and two passengers, Eli and Frankie Davis were taken to the Monument Valley Hospital. from the hospital Sunday. Hes home for this week sporting a gung ho blue and gold cast. Poor old Hughy was left behind trussed up like a turkey in traction. Cards and letters (and, of course, visits) would mean so much to him now. So how about it? Jim and Jeff Hunt took a water tank and firewood up to the cabin Sunday. Pat, Judy and Rooney moseyed up after them for a look around and a short visit. Dick Wing is building himself a little to hooghan" down by the riverside. He has a lot of work to do yet, but it should be in pretty good shape before too long. Sure get a kick out of Gus Houston these days. Every once in a while he comes out of the kitchen to check and see if the rock wall shows any signs of tumbling. Guess hes used to the wide open spaces. I may have a warped sense of humor but I sure got tickled over Blanding Mercs ad this past week. The middle of the ad that read perfect toppers for new bottoms" sure intrigued me. Wouldnt it be fun if we got some humorous ads in the paper instead of the same cut and fried stuff were used to??!! Wes Schurr, Jack Pehrsonand Fred Knight were the ambulance attendants.
