Show Miss Johnson plans Wrights celebrate fall wedding jointly Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wright celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on Aug. 25 and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wright observed their 36th wedding anniversary the same day. The four of them, accompanied by Mrs. Nora Nielson, a sister of the two men, drove to Durango where they rode the Narrow Gauge railroad to Silverton. It was a beautiful day and they enjoyed the trip, which made it a more than usual special day. Newlyweds honored at open house Recent newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Brent Johnson, were hon- ored guests at an open house held in the Monticello Library earlier in the month. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Mosdell of Cedar City and the groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Johnson of Monticello. The double ring ceremony that united the couple was solemnized in the St. George Temple on July 19. At the open house guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Mosdell and the newlyweds. Marie Johnson took care of the guest book and Mrs. Grace Eastin was in charge of the gifts. Refreshments were served by Debra, Dorothy and Tanis Johnson. The bride is a Cedar City High School graduate and has attended SUSC. Her groom graduated from Monticello High School and has been attending SUSC where he will be a junior this fall. Blanding residents have close call Mr. and Mrs. John L. Hunt of Blanding and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hunt, also of Blanding, had a close call last Saturday. The airplane which Mr. John Hunt was piloting put out a distress call which was heard at the Salt Lake International Airport The airplane, piloted by John on the Hunt, crash-landhighway in Spanish Fork Canyon, damaging a wing of the craft, but fortunately not causing any injuries to any of the four occupants. It was reported they were on their way to Roosevelt when they encountered the difficulty which made it necessary to land on the highway. ed Mr. and Mrs. Rex Johnson of East Route, Monticello, announce the engagement of their daughter, Diane, to Allan Lafe Tracy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Tracy of Cross Canyon, Colorado. Miss Johnson is a graduate of Monticello High School and of the College of Southern Utah in Cedar City. While attending college she maioried in Elementary Education and was affiliated with Phi Alpha Beta Sorority. Mr. Tracy graduated from Dove Creek High School and is presently employed with the Aztec Drilling Co. , associated with Shell Oil Company of Midland, Texas. The young couple plan a fall wedding in the Manti Wesley Hunt takes bride The Salt Lake Temple was the scene Aug. 15 of the wedding ceremony of Miss Zola Jean Frisby and Mr. Wesley L. Hunt. Miss Frisby is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl D. Frisby of Roosevelt, Utah and Mr. Hunt the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe C. Hunt of Blanding. A wedding breakfast at the ' Hawaiian in Salt Lake City was hosted by the groom's parents, following the ceremony. The newlyweds honeymooned at Moon Lake and Lake Powell. On Aug. 23 a reception was held at the Ballard Ward Cultural Hall at Roosevelt in honor of the young couple and an open house will be held this Saturday night at the Hunt home in Blanding. The groom is attending the Utah Technical College in Salt Lake City. Temple. Rasmussen-Mosle- y rites held in Temple The Salt Lake Temple was the setting Friday for the wedding of Miss Sandra Jean Rasmussen and Mr. Harold Wade Mosley. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert C. Rasmussen of Salt Lake City and the groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold P. Mosley of Blanding. Following the ceremony the newlyweds were honored at a wedding breakfast. Friday evening they will greet people at a reception to be held in the Redwood First Ward Chapel and will be further honored at an open house in Blanding at the home of the groom's parents. Attending the bride at the reception will be Miss Sue Rasmussen, Miss Julie Howells, Miss Suan Mosley, Miss Karen Latham with Karen and Denise Mosley as flower girls. Wesley Hunt will act as best man. The bridegroom is presently attending Utah State University. He has recently returned from an LDS Mission in the Central States. Lyman receives degree Lyman of Monticello was granted his Master of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Oregon at graduation exercises held at that institution on Aug. 16.
