Joe's headquarters were at Billings, Mont. , but he served in Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Idaho and North Dakota as well. While in the mission he served as Senior trainer, District Leader, Zone leader and the last nine months was Assistant to the President. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Don R. Barton of Monticello. Mrs. Ballif. who is retiring as of April 1, has been Director since March 15. 1965. She previously had been appointed by Governor Rampton to serve on the Welfare Commission with supervision over services to families and children. Replacing Mrs. Ballif will be Mr. Richard P. Lindsay. He has been Director of the State Council on Criminal Justice and, part of this time, of the Law Enforcement Planning Council.
