(Left out last week) The El Paso Recreation Hall was really buzzing Saturday night when the mother's gave the teenagers a Luau party. The boys and girls treked out to the sand dunes for some surfing and tumbling, before the Luau got underway. It was up to the kids to do the decorating and they transformed the hall into a lovely sight. There was a large turnout from Blanding, making fifty-fiv- e guests in all. Chaperones for the evening were Janelle Rupe, Vivian Morris, Barbara Reeves, Lucille Nelson, Doris Miller, Dee McAlpine and Pat Davis. Some of the Blanding boys and girls spent a night or two with friends. Among these were Jeff King who stayed with Billy Reeves; Boyd Laws with James Kennedy, and Peggy Noonan with Karen Davis. Marvin and LaFern Avery drove to Denver to visit their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Palmer. Carol and daughter, Alicia, came back home with them. The Jimmie Berkey family enjoyed a long camping trip. I regret to say that young Cheryl Barton had to be hospitalized again last Saturday evening.
