Howat. 45, San Francisco mining engineer and the son of the late Judge Andrew Howat of the Third district court of 8alt Lake and Mrs. Jennie L. Howat. died Monday at Wallace. Idaho, according to word received Tuesday by his sister. Mrs. Robert R. Hampton, 1205 Second avenue. Death followed several days' Illness of influenza. Mr. Howat resided In Salt Lake until he was graduated from the Salt Lake high school. He then attended the Willis ton academy at Willis ton, Mass., and subsequently the Colorado School of semes at Golden, Colo. Surviving Mr. Howat are his widow. Mrs. Geneva C. Fred Odell of Salt Lake. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. WVIWI... U II 11 Tremonton Opens Workers Freeze Egg Grading Plant Repairing Plane Special to The Tribune. BRIGHAM CITY. The Boxelder Producers' Cooperative Marketing association, under the direction of the state association, opened an egg grading plant at Tremonton Monday. The plant is located in the Thomas Waldron building and will serve the poultry producers in the Bear River valley and those residing in the northern part of the county. A drive was launched about a month ago to enroll a membership that would represent 50,000 laying hens, and from present indications the farmers have made a better showing than was at first anticipated. The association now expects to ship from Tremonton about two cars of eggs per week. Final arrangements for the opening of the plant at Tremonton Were completed the latter part of the week by President Jesse W. H 00 pes of this city Pitt Manager Clyde C. In the original case, Thomas was charged with assaulting a woman named Lena Graham. When the woman appeared at the police station Tuesday and told her story of the alleged assault, it was decided to charge Thomas with a more serious offense. Ogden Health Officials Report Conditions Returning to Normal. According to Ogden city health department officials and the superintendents of the city and county schools, the influenza epidemic which has raged in the city and county for several weeks past has spent the greater part of its fury and conditions are getting back to normal. City Physician N. H. Savage said Tuesday that influenza and pneumonia cases' were greatly on the decline and that only a few deaths had been directly traced to these diseases. He added that the recent fall of snow, with the attendant, colder weather, had been greatly beneficial in checking the epidemic. Superintendent W.
