Suit for $50,000 has been Instituted against the L. D. 8. hospital by F. O. Kendall, secretary of the Idaho Palls chamber of commerce, and wife, Oolda Kendall, for alleged negligence resulting in injuries to Mrs. Kendall while a patient at the Institution. According to the charges filed in district court Monday afternoon Mrs. nvenaan leaned from a window on the fourth floor of the hospital while suffering a hallucination. The complaint states the fall caused Mrs. Kendall's backbone to be lacerated and twisted, her skull fractured and her head and neck to be mangled, broke both her feet and left her unconscious and in a state of nervous shock. The complaint also sets forth that through negligence Mrs. Kendall was allowed in her delirium to to across a hall, open a window and leap to the ground with no interference. Mrs. Kendall, according to the al legations, entered the hospital July 11 of this year. Her Injuries are alleged to have occurred between July Special to The Tribune. TWIN FALLS, Idaho. Baker ruesday to life Imprisonment in the state penitentiary for the murder of Mrs. Lois Mae Bowen, 32, September 26. Tharp was found guilty in the 'irst roll call of first degree murder, :hls being the charge filed against lim. His counsel pleaded and Insanity. Immediate relatives of the condemned man were with htm when sentence was pronounced, only a few persons being present. He smiled, as he frequently did while testifying in his own behalf at the trial. As previously stated, counsel for the defense plans to file notice of appeal to the state supreme court as soon as the evidence can be studied. Twin Falls police were exceedingly thorough in their recovery of stolen automobiles In to the November, according monthly report to the city council. The report showed that of five cars stolen, seven had been recovered. The explanation was that the two extras were brought In from outside the state and taken up here. The force also scored 100 per cent on bl- cycles, four being stolen and four J recovered. Thirty-tw- o arrests were made dur ing the month, of which violation of traffic ordinances led the list with comten. L Lobell of the Holy Rosary Catholic church will officiate at funeral services Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the McHan funeral home for Miss Agnes Burke, 30, who died Sunday afternoon et the family home on Twelfth street following a continued illness. IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-Fun- eral services were held Tuesday at 10 a. m. at the Dinwoodey funeral home for Mrs. Alice Amanda Waddell, 76, wife of Samuel C. Waddell. who died suddenly November 39 In Salt Lake, where they were making their home at 754 Browning avenue for the past month. The Rev. J. I. ouiick oin elated at the services and Bishop C. S. Crabtree spoke. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery. Mrs. Waddell was born in Ferry, Ohio, October SI, 1852, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Waddell made their home In Idaho Falls for the past several years, where Mr. Waddell was employed by the city. Mrs. Waddell was in ill health for a number of years and about a year ago left for California for her health. They returned to Salt Lake about a month ago. where Mrs. Waddell showed marked improvement in health. She succumbed suddenly from natural causes, at' tending physicians reported.
