In the throwing events, coach Hal Jackson will oversee both the girls and boys competition. In the discus, Jared Bracken, Ted Donaldson, Brandon Manzanares and Zach Henseler will lead Carbon, with Matt Atwood, Chet Hanson and Manzanares rounding out the shot put. Two former Carbon track standouts will bring their skills back .to their alma mater as coaches this season. Jimmy Jewkes will guide the high and long jumpers, while Tiffany Swasey will assist in the hurdle events. Female high jumpers include Maquette Potts, Andraya Newby, Brittany Banning and Brittani Bently. Jewkes asserts that all four will likely qualify for the state tournament. . Amie Stewart will compete in the long jump along with Potts, Banning and Bently.
