Show Emery County Progress, Castle Dale, Utah Tuesday, June 1 5, 1 999 9B a boating safety course and qualify to win a Kawasaki jet ski Take r1 Leonard Larsen ERDA - Leonard Larsen, age 87, passed away in Erda after a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 3, 1911 to John E Larsen and Ellen Hansen Larsen in Molen. His prayers were answered and he peacefully passed away. He was married on April 16, 1937 in the Manti LDS Temple to Leola Scovill. His greatest love was his family. Leonard started out in the C.C. camp and also worked construction and coal mining. His love in life was hunting and gardening. He coached Little League and played football in high school. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints and served two missions with his wife in Lansing, Mich and Oakland, Calif. He had served in the 70s quorum and high priest group leader, as well as Sunday school and other positions. Survivors include his chil- dren, Jay L. Larsen (Marilyn), Ferron; Ronald Larsen (Linda), Parowan; Earl Larsen (Sherri), Robert Grantsville; Larsen (Jackie), Saginaw, Mich.; Diana Winword (Robert), Sandy; Karen Thompson (Cyde), West Valley; and Gordon Larsen (Carole), Orangeville; 40 grandchildren, 60 Cecelia Bryner PRICE Cecelia Jewkes - Bryner, age 77, died day, Together Forever Again Also Chester brother, a Larsen Salt Lake City; and two sisters, Ella Maxfield, Emery; and Edna Tyler, Phoenix, Ariz. He was predeceased in death by his wife, Leola Larsen in Nov. 1997; a son, Craig; and grandson, Lowell. Also his parents and two brothers and three sisters. (Maryellen), Funeral services were held Monday, at the Ferron 3rd LDS Ward Chapel. Burial followed in the Ferron Cemetery. June 9, 1999 Wednes- at her home in Price after a long illness. She was bom to David Nease and Geneva Peterson Jewkes in Kenilworth Dec. 6, 1921. She married Lyle Bryce Bryner Nov. 9, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple. She spent most of her childhood in Orangeville, graduating from Central High School in 1940. She attended Carbon College and worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for various businesses in Carbon and Emery counties. During World War II she worked for the contractors building East Carbon and Fort Douglas. As an active member of the LDS church Cecelia held various callings in the Young Womens, Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School. She participated in compiling a Price 3rd Ward history and was interested in genealogy. Cecelia enjoyed writing poetry and oil painting. She enjoyed fishing, music and living out in the country. She was often called upon to use her talents in making decorations for social functions. Numerous relatives and Harold Miller friends were dear to her; she truly loved her husband, children and special grandson, Jason. She is survived by her hus PRICE - Harold Emil Miller, age 71, passed away June 9, 1999 at his home. He was born Nov. 22, 1927 in Scobey, Mont., to jacob and Erna Shoemaker Miller. Married Norma Draper Sept. 15, 1990 in Wendover. Esther Bussey Member of the Lutheran Church. Long time resident of Carbon County where he worked at Castleview Hospital prior to his retiring in 1989. Harold enjoyed working in his shop and doing yard work. He will be dearly missed by his family and a community of dear friends. Survived; Norma Miller, Price; three brothers, three sisters and their spouses, Fred and Margaret Miller, Elko, Nev.; Roy Miller, Great Falls, Mont.; Melvin and Pauline Miller, Nye, Mont.; Eileen Werdale, Scobey, Mont.; Edna Welch, Scobey, Mont.; June and Darrel Kurtz, Sheridan Wyo ; special niece, Taylor Miller; and numerous other nieces and PRICE - Esther Ruth Longacre Bussey, age 94, died June 11, 1999 in Price. She was born June 21, 1904 in Shelby, Ohio, to Kirby Leroy and Helen Elizabeth Boyd nephews. Preceded in death by parents, daughter and a brother. Graveside service was Saturday, June 12, 10 a.m., Mountain View Cemetery, Helper, under the Longacre. Married Clarence Victor Bussey April 3, 1927 in Sugar City, Colo. He died Dec. 2, 1982. Lifelong member of the Methodist Church. Resident of Price since 1979. Esther was a volunteer at the Price City library and Local Kawasaki watercraft dealers, Kawasaki Motors Corporation, B98.7 FM, Radio Disney AM 860, and the Utah State Parks and Recreation Boating Program have teamed up to promote boating safety and education throughout Utah. Eight Utah Kawasaki dealers have joined together to donate a 1999 Kawasaki JET. SKI- - Xi Sport PWC to be given away September 7. To qualify to win the new Kawasaki JET SKI, you must be a Utah resident, 18 years of age or older, and successfully complete a National Association of State Boating Law Administrators- - (NASBLA) approved boating safety course between January 1, 1999 and August 30, 1999. Courses which qualify include: the Utah State Parks band, Lyle of Price; son, Ross Lyle (Shauna) Bryner, Price; and daughter, Marie Elena (David) Bowles, Las Vegas, three stepchildren and one grandson. Preceded in death by her brother, Jay W Nev.; Jewkes; sister, Mildred Hannert; and parents. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 15, 11 a.m., in the Price 3rd6th Ward LDS Chapel. Friends may call Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price and one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be held in the Price City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Primary Childrens Medical Levanger, Scott Warren, G. C. Clinton Warren, Barrie K. Smith and Kurt E. Mogensen; greatgrandchildren, Douglas and Rose Levanger.
