Spardettes placed well at Utah Classic, Delta and Richfield competitions The Emery High Spardettes recently participated in drill team competitions at the Utah Classic, Delta, and Richfield. At Utah Classic they placed fourth in Novelty and Shelene Bishop took First place in 3A drill downs. At Delta they placed second in Military, fifth in dance and sixth in Novelty. At Richfield they placed first in Military, and second in Dance. Shelene Bisljop took third in drill downs and Jaley Hinkins took sec 5th and 6th grade boys: S. Jason Smith and his fishing buddy reported catching 12 trout in three hours. Trout were seven to 12 inches long. Smith used an ice fly tipped with a wax worm. Kurt Cook emailed a fishing report on Christmas Day, saying that he caught a mess of fish in the inch range near the island. Kurt used a spoon attractant with a ice fly tipped with a piece of night crawler. In late December Brad Kerr reported commonly trout per day. He angled in feet of catching water over bottom structure using sonar.
