Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21, at noon in the Emery LDS Chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Emery Cemetery. The family would like to acknowledge the kind care and consideration given their mother at the Salt Lake Home. Graveside service will be held Thursday, April 22, at 10 a.m. at the Cleveland City Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Max-fiel- Funeral Home. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and five one brother, Gil R. Johnson, Provo; and one sister, Freda Reeves, d, n. Mason Meeks Mason Emery Meeks, age 74, died April 18, 1993 in a Price n; Provo. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 20, at 2 p.m. at the East Carbon LDS Ward Chapel. Family will be at ward chapel Tuesday one hour prior to service. Prele Blackham Burnside, age He was born July 24, 1918 in Huntington, son of Joseph Jode Burgess and Jennie Tucker Meeks. He was a member of the LDS Church and a lifelong resident of Carbon County. A former employee of Lion Coal and Wattis, he owned and operated the Coffee Cup Cafe. Survived by one brother, Jim Adams; two sisters, Verna Jensen, Florence Hussey, all of Agnes Rose Gilson Vera Berg Duzett, 94, passed away peacefully April 17, 1993 in Salt Lake City. She was bom April 10, 1899 in Castle Dale to Carl and Amalia Olsen Berg. She married Robert L. Duzett July 8, 1925 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died July 25, 1936. As an active member of the LDS Church, she served in many positions. She owned and operated the General Mercantile Store in Emery for over 20 years. She also enjoyed membership in the DUP. She served for two nieces, Helen Haye, Price; Jodi Meeks, Colorado; Shauna Bracken, Price; one nephew, Chad Meeks, Price. Also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Edward Lee Leamington, daughter of Alfred Emil and Josephine Olson Johnson. She married Glen C. Gilson on Jan. 22, 1942. He later died. She was a member of the LDS Church. A resident of East Carbon since 1955, she was active in community affairs. A loving mother of three generations, she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
