Last year, these volunteers donated 49,653 hours of service to their communities which averages out to 153 hours for each volunteer. At the minimum wage of $4.25 per hour each of these volunteers returned $654.50 to the county for a total of $211,025.25. RSVP receives partial funding from the Federal ACTION Agency and is sponsored locally by the Emery County Commission. RSVP director, Carolyn Randall stated that while some funding is received from these entities, RSVP needs to raise approximately $30,000 each year in funds in order to maintain the current level of service. Organizers feel this event will be bigger and better than in the years past. Local crafts people will be participating as well as crafters from West Jordan and Blanding. They are planning to bring their crafts as well as baked goods, jewelry, hand crafted gifts and speciality items to offer a wide variety of selection. This event is a great way to do your Christmas shopping without even leaving the county. There will be over 50 booths from which to choose. Local talent will be participating both days.
