WK EMERY COUNTYTELEPHONE COMPANYhas recently completed the Installation of burying a Fiber Optic cable from its Ferron exchange to its Castle Dale exchange. This project is just one of many that the Telephone Company has planned. Emeiy County Telephone has plans of changing out its entire serving area to Fiber Optic cable. Our intention is to connect all exchanges in our service area with Fiber Optic cable. When completed, Our continuing goal will be to install a Fiber to every home and business that our company serves. We realize this is a large undertaking. It will take several years to complete. However, once completed it will position the Telco to be able to provide many services, that can only be furnished Via Fiber Optic cable. This could include such items as Video Phones, High Definition Television, High Speed Data, Interactive Education Classes for both the Individual and The Emeiy County School district. The benefits the community will receive from the installation of this optic cable, should be far reaching. Extra effort has been made to forewarn someone digging in the area of the Fiber Cable. The Telephone company has marked its cable route with over one hundred bright orange markers. We would like to make a special appeal to all Individuals and construction companies of any kind. If you are digging to the vicinity. PLEASE call us before starting. This cableTs very expensive and fragile. If cut, the cost of repairing the cable coula exceed Three Thousand Dollars. This would be the cost the person or company would pay the Telephone Company for restoration of the cable. Emery County Telephone would like to Publicly Thank all the Land Owners, Ferron, Clawson and Castle Dale Cities The Special Service District and The Department of Transportation for their help and patience in completing this project.
