The flag railing ceremony wa performed by the Boy Scout. Service eonaiating of invocation, salur and tap, were conducted at Redwood Memorial Eatate at 9:30 a.m. and at White Fort Cemetery at 10 a.m. The program at Wert Jordan Cemetery held at I I a.m., included, the national anthem played by the Midvale Jr. High Band with Alfred Morri conducting: invocation, Mark Carroll; vocal olo, Susan Tripp, accompanied by Cleon Rose; placing of wreath, Mr. Veona Thompson, L.G.I. Auxiliary president ; selection by Midvale Jr. High Band; honor roll read by Wert Jordan Town Board President Royal Spratling; accordion olo, Lynn Spenat; guest speaker, Bishop William J. Leak; vocal solo, Susan Tripp, accompanied accompan-ied by Cleon Rose; selection, Midvale Mid-vale Jr. High Band; salute to deceased, de-ceased, Port I 1 9, Bob Austin in charge, and tape. Cene Fullmer waa awarded the Sports Father of the Year award Thursday, May 24, in New York City. The award was made to Mr. Fullmer by the National Father's Day committee for. hi record of good sportsmanship over the years. Mr. Fullmer has three children. Wert Jordan Third Ward Relief Society Reorganised Reorganization of Wert Jordan Third Ward Relief Society presidency presi-dency last Sunday night has been announced. Mr. and Mr. Stanley Dimond and family visited in Richfield on Memorial Day with Mrs. Dimond' father, Elwood Buchanan, and other relative. Mr. Horace S. Young is visiting her daughter, Dorothy Cowell and family in San Mateo, Calif. Kenneth Williams and daughter, Shawna Lee, had their tonsil removed re-moved Friday, May 25. Floyd James, son of Mr. and Mrs. George B. James, ha been called to an L.D.S. mission in the Wert Mexican Mission. A farewell testimony testi-mony will be held Sunday, June- I 7, at 5:45 p.m. in Wert Jordan Second Sec-ond W.,J Elmo Roger and family and son and wife, Mr. and Mr. LeGrand Nielsen and family. The occasion celebrated the birthday of Mr. R. Cordon Nielsen. Mrs. Roger and LeGrand all of which are within a few day of each other. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn R. Gordon Nielsen visited relative in Nephi and Levan on Memorial Day. I Mr. F. T. Shelley of American Fork spent Tuesday and Wednesday Wednes-day last week visiting her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mr. T. Earl Kelly and family. While here she attended the graduation of her grandsons, Craig from 9th grade on Tuesday evening and Stephen from Bingham High School on Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Luncheon guest and spending the afternoon visiting Mr. Glen W. Closing social of West Jordan Third Ward Relief Society was held Tuesday. Member were entertained with a book review presented by Mrs. Venice Springmeyer, a Salt Lake County librarian, who reviewed review-ed the book "Courtship of Eddie's Father", and the Singing Mothers sang two number "1 Love A Lassie" and "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep you". Wert Jordan Third Ward is presenting pre-senting Eddie Kekaula's Hawaiian Luau on Saturday, une 9 at 7:00 p.m. at West Jordan Stake House and everyone is invited. Gordon Nielsen entertained at family birthday dinner party at their home last Saturday, Sat-urday, Guests attending were their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs Keith Price of Geneva, Idaho, was an overnight guest of the Ross Butterfields Monday. Registration of children attending attend-ing kindergarten was held at West Jordan Elementary School Thursday and Friday this week. Wert Jordan Fourth Ward Relief Re-lief Society will hold their one meet ing each month during the summer on the first Thursday of every month at 10:30 a.m. Spending last week and this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schmidt has been Jakob Schlatter, international Farm Youth Exchange student, from Zurich, Switzerland. The exchange youth, interested in and studying youth programs a-round a-round the area, 2 also spending some time in other areas of Utah to get an overall picture of the state. The youth will attend the state Lions convention, sponsors of the International Farm Youth Ex- ' change program, at Vernal this week end, after which he will attend at-tend a youth conference at Logan and from there will attend farm youth conferences in the midwest. Earl Kelly director, is still holding practice at the stake house Sunday mornings at 7 a.m. At present the chorus is busily preparing for Father' Day. All men and boy of the ward interested interest-ed in singing in the chorus are invited in-vited to attend practice. There will be no choir practice of Wert Jordan Third Ward choir held this Sunday because of Fast Sunday, it is reported. Instead a special practice will be held Monday Mon-day night and all members of the choir are urged to attend.
