Miss Killpack was one of eight contestants at the pageant, which was held at the elementary school. The girls were judged on their performance in a production number, talent, evening gown and response to questions. In addition to Miss Kill- pack, the royalty includes Melanie Lyon, first runner-up- ; Melissa McKell, second runner-up- ; and Britt Weber, Miss Congeniality. Also competing were Kacie Jo Anderson, Katey Owens, Tiffany Nelson and Oni Dow. Miss Killpack performed a e routine of Cover Girl for her talent. She is a junior at Emery High School, and she loves to dance and sing and participate in sports. She is employed at the Emery County Nursing Home. The new Peach Days Queen was crowned by retiring queen Valerie Huntsman, who presented a musical number and helped to host the program. The master of ceremonies was Farnum Young. First attendant Melanie Lyon played a piano solo for her talent, while second runner-u- p Melissa McKell also played the piano for her talent. video-danc- military Army Sgt. Fred B. Ovesen has arrived for duty at Fort Huachuca, Ariz. He is a calibration specialist at the U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground. Ovesen is the son of Ralene Ovesen of Cleveland. His wife, Pamela, is the daughter of T. LeRoy Evans of Salt Lake City. The sergeant is a 1982 graduate of Emery High School. FALL is Here!
