Show Tuesday, April 25, 1989 3A Emery County Progress anniversary Weddings 59th anniversary An open house commemo- rating the 59th wedding anniversary of Fame and Tressie Curtis Price of East Carbon will be held in connection with the regular dance at the Carbon Seniors Dance Club on Friday, April 28 at the Senior Center in Price. From 7 until 8 p.m. there will be a program featuring family and friends. Dancing will begin at 8 p.m. A potluck dinner will be births held at 9:30 p.m. The Prices are natives of Emery County. Their children were born in Provo and Castle Gate and they have lived in East Carbon since 1944. Mr. Price retired from the Kaiser Mine in 197 1. He is a musician and has written a book recounting his adventures as an cowboy and bronco buster. They have 24 grandchildren and 34 on Eagle Scout Justin Powell, son of Kent and Kathy Powell of Ferron, will receive his Eagle award April 28 in the Ferron 5th Ward. His favorite subjects are algebra and athletics. He enjoys playing football, wrestling and track. He is currently running the mile in track and getting ready to compete. He is a peer helper. Tyler's hobbies include stamp collecting and weightlifting. He lives on a farm and enjoys riding horses. He has 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Brittany Wright Brittany is the daughter of Carole and Coach Wright of Cleveland. Her favorite subject is English. She is on the National Honor Society. Brittany is also on the drill team and in the peer helpers. Her hobbies include participating in her youth group in church and riding a Pinto horse named Penny with her dad. In sports she enjoys volleyball and swimming. She plays piano in recitals and church. She also plays softball. She is the oldest of 2 sisters and 1 brother and is a teacher's aid for her dad and would like to be a teacher when she grows up.
