Coach Reed said that the returning state champions from Richfield atom with Delta and Manti will be favorites in the league, but Coach Reed is also listing Hrnery as one of the better region teams. Because of the number of teams in the region, Emery will get into conference play right away with the game at Wasatch Academy on Thursday. Emery will then host Richfield in the first home game on Nov. 2f. Varsity games begin at 7 p.m. with the junior varsity playing at 5: 30. Also new this season are a couple of rule changes. The coach said the girls will be playing with a smaller ball and that there will be no jump balls except for the beginning of the game and overtime periods. Tie ups will result in alternate possession. Another rule change restricts the number of times a coach may stand up from the bench during a game. That, most coaches agree, will be difficult to follow. 265 4 $2C9 286-240- 5 North Center Emery Ttlnrrta Cinolier ( |
