Due to several incidents of reported dog bites in Peterson Orangeville, requested permission of the council to start a campaign to seek out unlicensed door-to-do- or dogs. As I go through and find someone who doesnt have a license on their dog, Im going to issue a citation, Peterson said. Then its up to the justice of the peace. It is also the contention of the The Huntington City Council has appointed Jerry Oviatt as supervisor of the construction of the new city pavilion. The pavilion will feature a stage with storage space beneath for chairs. A lighting and sound system will be used in the 40 foot by 80 foot structure set for completion by Heritage Days. The facility will serve as an outdoor auditorium and dance hall. The council also agreed to send a letter of intent to the two business who have neglected to procure 1985 business licenses. The 10 percent penalty must also be met. If the businesses do not respond within 10 days, said Huntington Recorder Patsy Grange shows a few of the plaques the office workers have assembled for official house numbering in the community. Huntington updates housing numbers The Huntington City office Patsy Grange, Pat Brinkerhoff and Jane Jensen, have dived into a sea of black plaques, white letters, and quarts of glue as they have assembled the new house numbers supplied by Mountain Bell Telephone. The telephone company will not install a telephone until the house bears the official number. The company did a survey of the houses in town, numbered them and supplied the materials. As citizens come into the office, the plaques are handed out. Each has the name of the house occupant in the corner. The girls still have another hundred to assemble as soon as more nines and sixes arrive. The plaques will number around 600 because trailer courts are being given one address only. It will be up to the trailer court owner to display the number in a prominent place and provide a directory, giving each trailer a number. Thus will the apartments and trailers be identified within the directory. Mayor Robert Roberts says as soon as all the plaques are completed those not picked up at the office will be hand delivered. Some businesses will be closed down. are resisting people have Complaints been received by the council about people who are conducting businesses at home without a business license.
