Show Pheasant opener Nov. 5 at 8 a.m. Utah pheasant and quail hunters start tromping the thickets on Saturday, November 5, as the season opens on these two upland game birds. Pheasant hunters will shoot until November 13 in Box Elder, Cache, Davis, Daggett, Duchesne, Iron, Morgan, Rich, Summit, Uintah, Washington and Weber Counties. waterfowl management areas will be open to pheasant hunting from November 5 through November 27: Farmington Bay, Harold S. Crane, Howard Slough, Ogden Bay, Powell Slough, Public Shooting Grounds, Salt Creek and Stewart Lake. Bag and possession limits are three and six cocks respectively. Shooting hours are from 8 a.m. November 7 will end the phea- to 5:30 p.m. on November 5 and sant hunt in Salt Lake and Utah then from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Counties, with all other counties each day after the opening day. in the State open to hunting! Shooting hours will be the same as for pheasants during the pheasant hunt and then will change to daylight hours. Bag limit is eight on quail with sixteen in possession after two days of shooting. This area will be open to hunting on November 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, only. for animals of either sex on the regular license. Some peoples idea of progress is to improve every thing but themselves. This area is noted for being extremenly steep and rugged with little access for the hunter. Preliminary reports indicate this has been a good deer hunt with most areas reporting improved results over last year.
