Mr and Mrs Grover Killpack were in Salt Lake during the past week to see their son, Lt. Judd Killpack, off to Fort Law ton and to Korea. Judds wife and children will reside in Salt Lake during his absence. Mr and Mrs Lynn Cramer and family of Tooele were vis itors the past week end at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs Guy Young. Denny, former oil man who died at Green River February 8, was the man who had charge of drilling the oil well northwest of Huntington for the Ohio Oil Company in 11921. He was known to a number of Huntington People. After com pleting that well, he drilled a test hole for a proposed irrigation dam at Oonnelsville, the old coal mine of the 1870s at the head of Huntington Canyon. A recently issued report of the Bureau of Mines shows the seven Deseret mine, located miles northwest of Orangeville, conforms with all requirements of the Federal Mine Safety since examined last Code, month (by Inspector Thomas T. Reay Jr. The mine is owned and operated: by Cooperative Security, a Division of the Gen eral Welfare Committee of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It employs ten men and produces about 150 tons of coal per day. Mr and Mrs Dan LeRoy vis ited a day in Salt Lake during the past week with Mr and Mrs W. A. Baxter.
