Sweepstakes rosettes were awarded in Fine Arts to Gayle Houston for pottery, to J. C. Borders for painting and to Sandra Starley for Basketry. Creative Arts sweep-stake- s went to Doug Paddock for his scroll saw work. In the Home Arts area, sweepstakes went to Darlene Nelson and Pat Bickers for their quilts, to Adrien Teylor for knitted lace shawl, to Monica Holyoak for crochet, and to Patsy Valerio for cross stitch. Travis Tnttschuh had sweep-stak- es ribbons for Floriculture, and also for apricots in the Home Canning division. Sam Cunningham took sweepstakes in Home Canning for her nectarine jelly. Shirley Stewart's vegetable arrangement took sweepstakes in Gardening. Sabrina Randall had the purple rosette for her chocolate cake in the Baking and Candy category. Janese Holyoak was awarded sweepstakes in the Landscape Young Amateur Photography category; and Dorothy Cooney had the ribbon in the Landscape category. Cunnington Farms took sweepstakes for its Sheep display. Scheers Lumberjack Shows provides a unique blend of sports, history and comedy. The show includes an oppor- tunity for the audience to experience a reenactment of a nostalgic logging competition of the early 1900s. The show kicks off F air Week in The Dorothy Anderson and Adrien Taylor show off their winning entries from last week's Grand County Fair. Adrien's white kid mohair and Silk lace knitted shawl was awarded the Sweepstakes ribbon in the Home Arts division. The brown alpaca shawl, knitted in the same pattern and at the same time, took a Judges Choice rosette Dorothy's crocheted afghan also took a Judges Choice rosette.
