Bird, of San Diego. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Larsen took a group of thirteen and their chaperone, Miss Deon Bird, to Wolf Creek to attend 4-H- the annual outing. Mrs. Cynthia Massey has returned to Vernal after spending the past few weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Merle Ross. The community extends deepest sympathy to the Leandrew 4-- H Gilbert family. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Larsen, a Salt Lake visitor for the past month, have returned home, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Thurlo Richens and family. Mrs. Richens will remain for a visit with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Loryn Ross and family attended the Hair reunion Sunday at the Hot Pots. Mr. and Mrs. Max Ross are the parents of a baby boy born Thursday at the Roosevelt hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Chad Evans and son visited Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen. President Hale Holgate made a business trip to Provo during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Voy Fairbanks spent the weekend in Salt Lake where Mr. Fairbanks attended the Seminary institute. He is principal of the Duchesne seminary. Miss Mary Hansen, of Idaho, is caring for the Fairbanks children while they are away. Mr, and Mrs. Lynn Ross and Merlynn and LaMar, and Mrs. Cynthia Massey attended the funeral services for William Statt, Wednesday in Heber. The community extends sympathy to Mr.' and Mrs. Wanless Shields, of Bridgeland, who have received word their son, Wayne, is missing in Korea. Miss Dawn Pace, of Montwel, visited this week with her cousins, Hazel and Beverly e; owning: Dorthy Mecham, Mt. Emmons; Mona Miles Bertha ard ton, of Lehi, were overnight guests Saturday at the Claud McDonald home.i Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Allred and Mrs. Zola Reese, of Provo, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Allred, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McFarland, of Manti, visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Chris Sorensen. Mrs. Clara Burgener, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McQuivie, and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gurgener, and families, all of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Burgener and son, of Nephi, visited Mr. and Mrs. Glen Sorensen last week. Mr. and Mrs. Tatton Bench, of Duchesne, visited Sunday afternoon in Talmage.
