HAYPITCHERS The Brigham boys won a splendid victory in the game of ball played with the North Ogden team at the latter place last Saturday afternoon. They shut out the North Ogdens in eight innings and would have done so In the other but for an error of Norman Lee In failing to hold a fly ball wbich dropped Into his hands after two men were out. This was tbe only error Mr Lee made during tbe game. Andy Jensen, pitcher, and Murray, catcher for tbe reds, played a splendid game, Jensen never having done better. He was well supported all rouod and tbe victory was well earned. Cbadwick for tbe North Ogden team also pitched a good game and did not allow our boys to score after the fourth Innings. Wynn L. Eddy, manager of the home team, Is well pleased with the progress the boys are making and Is hopeful or yet winning the championship cup back. "I hsd quite a lot of writing to do when I arrived, and I engaged her for the evening, and after supper I sat down to dictate. The usual crowd of youth and men were around, and when I began they at first moved back to s respectful distance. After a few minutes, however, they began to edge eloser, and finally formed a ring around the stenographer and myself so close that they could hear every word of my dictation. This was very annoying, and I determined to put an end to their impudence. So I began dictating a letter to my wife, in which I spoke of my arrival In the town, of which I gave a brief description, and then continued) The people here are th'e most sociable I have met. As I sit here dictatcrowded ing a dozen of them around listcring to every word I say. This is no doubt a fine trait, but It is tomenhat annoying to the pretty girl who is doing my work.
