Sapiro. director of the San Francisco municipal band, will be Judge of the contest. He will select three pieces, suitable for bands of greater or lesser instrumentation and experience and the bands themselves will choose which piece they wish to be judged by. The prises for the winner in Class 1 are 1250 in cash and a loving cupi in Class X, 1160 In cash and either a cup or a valuable band Instrument in Class S, flOO In cash and an Instrument, merchandise or cash. The contest la open to any professional or amateur band in Utah, composed of Utah musicians.
