Show Mrs. Barbara Wheatley, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hertrick of West Jordan, formerly of Bingham Bing-ham Canyon, left Tuesday morning from Salt Lake City by jet for Hawaii where she arrived the same afternoon, to join her husband, Jerry, who is stationed there with the army. Entertaining for her prior pri-or to her departure for the Islands were her co-workers in the trust department at Continental Bank who gave a farewell party and presented pre-sented her with a Roing away gift at the Tiki Hut last Friday evening. The girls in her car pool gava her a farewell dinner at the Tiki Hut last Thursday night and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hettrick Jr. entertained at luncheon for her Monday also at the Tiki Hut and she was a dinner din-ner guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowen and family Sunday. Bingham Fire Ladies Auxiliary met Monday night at the fire hall in Bingham for their regular weekly week-ly meeting with Mrs. A. J. Sargent hostess for the. evening. A short business meeting was conducted after which bridge was played. Prizes Pri-zes were won by Mrs. Leonard Bell, first; Mrs. Ross Cushing, second; sec-ond; Mrs. Verl Peterson, consolation; consola-tion; and Mrs. Jack Householder, Jr., bingo. Lovely refreshments were served by the hostess. Twelve members were present. Members of the Jordan Council of P.T.A. held a meeting Wednesday, Wednes-day, May 2 at the home of the new president, Mrs. Beverly Thompson of Draper. This meeting was to plan for the Jordan Council Workshop Work-shop to be held at West Jordan Junior High School on Thursday, May 10. Mrs. Dale Bateman of West Jordan is historian of the Jordan Council. MISS JULIA MENNA IS LATE APRIL BRIDE Miss Julia Menna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony P. Mcnna of Bingham Canyon, became the bride of Julian Garmendia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Garmendia of Kearns, in a nuptial mass performed perform-ed Monday, April 30, at noon in Immaculate Conception Church at Copperton. The Rev. John J. Sullivan Sulli-van officiated. A reception was held that evening even-ing in the church basement at 7 p.m. For the nuptials, the bride wore a ballerina length gown of white slipper satin styled with a bustle back. Duties of best man were performed per-formed by Joe Cendencarda, a brother bro-ther in law of the bridegroom. The couple will leave in about a couple of weeks for Texas where they plan to make their home. APRIL WEDDING Crestwood Villa was setting Wednesday, Wed-nesday, April 25, for the wedding and reception of Miss Kathleen Barker and Richard E. Zdunich. R. Kent King, LDS bishop performed the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Barker, 4328 S. Redwood Rd., Murray, and parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Zdunic h, 187 East 7550 South, Midvale, former Bingham Bing-ham and Copperton residents. Attending the bride were Mrs. Joe Bills, matron of honor; and Mrs. Kenneth Lund, Mrs. Paul Bam-brough Bam-brough and Miss Claudia Zdunich. Wayne Cook performed duties of bent man. Ushers were Kerry Zdu- Ronnie Dimmick, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Dimmick, celebrated his first birthday last Wednesday, April 25. Helping him celebrate the occasion oc-casion and enjoying birthday cake and ice cream were members of his family, and Mrs. Eunice Raye Coiling, Dana, Kathy and Neal, of Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Nielsen, Royce, Gary, and Clifford of Riverton, River-ton, Mrs. Alta Sorensen of West Jordan, Mrs. Maurino Nielson and Carol and Mrs. Patsy Meenen and I Leslie. Mrs. Mary Raby and Miss Annie Masters entertained last Saturday at a very lovely one o'clock luncheon lunch-eon and bridge at the home of Mrs. Raby. Sixteen guests were present. Monday afternoon visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hunt L. Nielson Niel-son and family were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Padgen and daughter, Pat, of Midvale and Mrs. Ruby Bado-vinatz. Bado-vinatz. The bridegroom has attended Utah State University and the University Uni-versity of Utah. He has completed a tour of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps and was graduated from Weaver Airline School, Kansas City, Mo. The couple will make their home in Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. David Dimmick and children, Wayne, Sue, Janna, Randy and Ronnie visited Sunday with their grandfather and father, Milton Mil-ton Dimmick of Fillmore.
