BASEBALL TEAM TAKES REGION 4 CROWN Bingham High's baseball team defeated Cyprus High Tuesday night at Magna 6 to 4 and with the victory won the championship of Region Four. LAW DAY OBSERVED Utah Bar Association presented an aaaemblv at Bingham High hon- oring Law Day which is now in its fifth year. Mr. Malcum D. Pike: who is a practicing prac-ticing attorney in Salt Lake City, gave . an excellent excel-lent speech to Darlen. Gilbert dent "V dy. His speech contained some of the following topics: I. discover difference in the government between eastern and western nations. 2. We should be governed by laws and not by man. 3. We must be careful not to lose our heritage. 4. Basic issue, liberty and law, go hand in hand, and 5. Just laws are essential to freedom and strength. STUDENT BODY OFFICER NOMINATIONS FOR NEXT YEAR ANNOUNCED Nominations for student body officers for next year have been announced. They are: for president Dennis W. Nichols and Jeff Sutherland, vice president Noreen Crump and Stanlie Sullenger; secretary sec-retary Sharon Schmidt and Kathy Crellin; historian Linda Miller and Jayne Carrigan; and business manager Gary Kubota and Ray Jensen. |
