Show tE fre Page A3 Thursday, September 16, 2004 lQItmeg-(3lgpgttb- gt Join Friends of the Library now The Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale will be held on Saturday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The sale, held during the past several years in the old Middle School building, will be held at the Senior Center this year. The Friends Night will be Friday, October 15 from 6 to 9. In the past, Friends Night gave members an early opportunity to buy books. In order to take advantage of this, many people joined the Friends that evening who were not interested in becoming actively involved with the group. This year two options are available to those wishing to attend the Friends Night. One is to join or renew a membership; the second is to donate $5 for admission, Membership fees are $5 for an individual and $10 for families. The membership year runs from September 1 through August 31. Friends are encouraged to join or renew at the library as soon as possible, to be ready for Friends Night. fpoks offered at the sale are usually from two sources: donations made to the Grand County Public Library for the book sale, or withdrawn from the library collections. Regular books are priced at $1 for hardbacks and 50 cents for paperbacks, except for a few specially priced items.
