Show 6 Hilltop February 17, 2000 ? x 'vw.v w n6eeewwx.v v Achievement, Commitment, and Excellence TRANSITION WORKLOAD STATUS OO-AL- C MICAPS Ogden Air Logistics Center 1800 Mike and Mike and Janet Thompson 1600 Janet Thompson On Valentines Day one Hill couple, who are both ACE award recipients, spent long hours at work as theyve done for months, ensuring the workload they transitioned with from McClellan AFB, Calif, is successful at Hill. Recipients: Janet Thompson and Mike Thompson Area: Commodities Directorate (LI), Bldg. 5, Bay E foreContributions: Janet is a first-lin- e man for the Vertical Velocity Indicator Altimeter Shop. Mike is a first-lin- e foreman for the Attitude Directional of Attack Indicator Shop. Both overcame numerous obstacles durIndi-catorAng- le ing the transition of workload from McClellan AFB to Hill. The couple was instrumental in recruiting experienced personnel to bring their skills to Hill. They then ensured both shops tooling and equipment was identified, packaged, shipped, received and properly placed in Bldg. 5. After the shop was established, they worked diligently to ensure the PMEL technicians 1400 had the capacity and capability to support the test equipment repair and calibration requirements. As a result of their efforts all the negotiated workload requirements were met, the bridge of contracts was eliminated, providing numerous MICAP items to the field and superior management indicators. How They Helped Production: Mike said they worked through a number of challenges as one of the first Instrument Avionics Sections to come to Hill. He said they worked around the clock to get the shop stood up and make it a pleasant, prepared place to work.
