Have you submitted an Action Line in the past and waited and waited to read the reply in the newsbut it never appeared? paper You may be surprised to know that only a small percentage of all comments called in are printed in the Action Line section of the Hilltop Times. Only those action lines that are of general interest to the base populous are selected for print. However, you can rest assured that you will receive a reply. Col. Ken Page, the 75th Air Base Wing commander, has implemented a new directive within the wing. Now, when callers leave their name and phone number, they will be personally contacted and the issue discussed with a reply provided. If you don't want to leave your name or phone number, a reply will still be provided by calling the ten days Action Line administrator at Ext. the In some initial call. after your cases, reply won't be ready when you call because the question is still being answered. Remember too, that Action Line isn't just for complaints. We also appreciate kudos when someone provides exceptional Service, goes out of their way to help or is an asset to Hill AFB. Letting everyone on base know how well you were treated, or how good a job someone is doing is an excellent way of showing your appreciation. It's refreshing to read appreciative remarks about positive efforts. Be aware that you're calling the wing commander, and requests for assistance should always be worked through the appropriate before you bring them to the wing commanders attention. No one likes to be blmdsided on an issue that could have been worked easily if only someone had talked about it. It's up to each of us to make Hill a better place to work and live. We all need to do our part in ensuring that the security, opportunities, benefits and rewards that Hill has to offer isn't jeopardized or undermined.
