The book store and CFI will sponsor fiction writer Patricia McConnel, poet and writer Christopher Merrill and Welsh-bor- n author and poet Leslie Norris in a reading for the enjoyment of the public beginning at 8 pjn. Thursday, Nov. 3. A public reading by instructors in advance of the Desert Writers Workshop is an annual event of CFI, but this year the location has been changed from the workshop location at Pack Creek Ranch to a downtown location. This year, by having it in a downtown location, we hope to demonstrate that all are welcome to attend, said Tim Sevems, workshop coordinator. Back of Beyond Books is at 83 N. Main. There is no charge to attend. Itll be enlightening to hear the writers work in their own voice, Sevems said. The Desert Writers Workshop is one of the longest running programs at Canyonlands Field Institute, a it organization in Moab that Ranch.
