VISITED WITH DAUGHTER Ann and Sid Pool motored to Spanish Fork over the weekend to visit daughter Linda Anderson and family. While there Linda and Ann attended the fall conference of the GFWC of Utah in Provo. Linda, who is a pilot and instructor for Governor Norman H. Bangerter and the Utah $tate Fire Marshal have joined together to ask all Utahns to prepare for the Plan To Get Out Alive statewide home fire drill to be held Tuesday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the drill is to help children and their families plan in advance so they can safely escape their homes in case of fire. "Over four out of five fires each year occur in the home, said Lynn Borg, Utah State Fire Marshal. "Over half of these fire related deaths are children. Deaths related to fires could be reduced if people would take the time to make a home fire escape plan and carry it out." The Plan To Get Out Alive program is being conducted by fire departments across the state, with the help of McDonald's restaurants and Utah Power & Light. It is being held in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week, October "Plan To Get Out Alive is a program that can make a difference," Bangerter said. "I encourage parents and children throughout the state to prepare for the statewide home fire drill, and know what they should do in the case of a fire." To help people prepare for the drill, Utah fire departments and McDonald's are distributing free home fire escape planning sheets now through October 10. In many areas, the plans are also being distributed in elementary schools by fire safety educators. Each plan includes home fire drill instructions and ideas for creating your own fire escape plan. The plans have been produced as a public service by McDonald's and Utah Power & Light. Over 300,000 are being distributed in Utah. Plan To Get Out Alive has been 4. We must be diverse enough to recognize the opportunities at hand and which lay ahead, -- capitalizing on the occasion including those who are anticipating the reform and wealth of the mineral industry. I will continue to work for If planned development which can only lead to a better place for our children and our retirement We must all work together taking pride in Moab - if we expect to achieve the clean, orderly, pleasant, safe and enjoyable community. I would be pleased to continued serving as your Mayor. re-elect- -- Try t r Post Grape-Nut- sfor a week. fuum Advertised Prices Good Wednesday, September 27 Through Tuesday, October 1939-A- 7 Pharmacy 3, 19S9 We Reserve The Right To Limit Quantities None Sold To Dealers Discover why nothing feels as good as Grape-Nut- s: Theres something about eating it that just feels right.
