Skip Nightingale, representing the Grand County Economic Development Committee, 'was guest speaker at a meeting of the Moab Rotary Club, Monday, March 7. Nightingale discussed local economic development, focusing on a proposed retirement community near the golf course. Nightingale explained that the proposal was initiated by committee member K.E. McDougald, with the intention of using property owned by Moab City. DEDICATION SERVICES HELD were held Sunday, Services March 6 for the dedication of the Castle Valley Branch LDS Chapel. For some time, the division staff and board members have been attempting to develop a logical procedure for the development of state land into residential and commercial uses. A procedural flow chart for this development was adopted by the board in June 1982. Since that time, many issues have been raised which must be addressed. The division staff has also been working with in Crawford, in Castle Valley were studied five years ago by the Grand County Commission during a public hearing. Deyeloper Joe Kingsley explained that he wanted to lot3 439 and 400 as he planned to build a general store and post office on one lot and a plastic factory on the other.
