"It's been a wonderful year of golf for me," Duval said. "I will never view it in any other way. There's nothing you can negative about it." That hasn't taken all of the drama out of the Tour Championship. Still at stake is the PGA Tour player of the year award, voted on by the players. Most players over the past few weeks are leaning toward Mark O'Meara and his two major championships, although they concede a victory by Duval this week could give them something more to consider. Duval is also locked in a race with Tiger Woods for the lowest scoring average. Woods, who has won just one time this year but has 13 finishes in the top 10, has a narrow lead and Duval likely would have to finish four strokes ahead at the end of the week. Not surprisingly, Woods says he would rather win the scoring title and Duval believes the money title is more important. field Half of the has won major championships.
