The work also includes the installation of shallow and deep groundwater monitoring wells, security fencing around the Coll 1 area and the storm waterleachate basin area, and the construction of gravel roadways to the lift station and to the storm waterleachate basin, paving the site access road with asphalt, and the construction of a paved truck was turnout area. The Bidder is required to provide an alternate bid to delete the valve manhole, wet well, lift station and pump equipment, at 10 ft wide gravel roadway to the lift station with revised earthwork and revised grades for the gravity drain line to provide direct gravity drainage from Cell m waterleachate 1 to the basin. The Project is located miles North of Elberta, Utah, Section 17, Township 9 South, Range 1 West, Utah County. The work set forth in these Contract Documents is the second phase of the construction of a new sanitary landfill serving Provo City and other communities in Utah County. Timely completion of all work established in these Contract Documents is critical to the ability of the City of Provo to begin landfill disposal operations at before the existing municipal landfill reaches its physical capacity. The City of Provo anticipates the start of operations at Bayview in early November, 1989.
