Show Page THE HERALD, Provo, Utah, 64 11, 1988 Sunday, September New law lets police enforce traffic on school grounds By LEANN MOODY Spanish Fork Correspondent SPANISH FORK In a brief meeting Wednesday night, the Spanish Fork City Council handled several minor items and approved an ordinance which will allow city - police officers to issue traffic citations on school property. Officers in the past have been called upon by the nance. schools to enforce criminal violations such as drugs and alcohol but the new ordinance will allow them to control speeding, reckless driving and issue citations for accidents.
