Show .'v Fn-H- y Local Youth Tracksters Those watching the thousands of athletes and fans at the 1984 edition of The Athletic Congress Track and Field Championships at BYU last week may well have noticed something missing. There were plenty of flags nd banners at the track meet, but none of the banners waved the names of Coca-ColPepsi, or any of the other Adidas, sponsors usually present at such events. It was a great effort that probably will be rewarded with another national track meet at BYU in the next few years. Obviously that means more money for the 9 dluui Nationally, the TAC no dctubt will soon find a sponsor, but the need for community sponsors is still great. Regional and national competitions will be conducted next year, requiring teams to come up with traveling money. Add to that the cost of uniforms and officials and the days of using a bake sale to support the team seem long gone. Youth track and field is bringing money into Utah County.
