Show TV Page 12 - THE HERALD, Provo, Utah, KBYU-T- Monday, May 28, 1984 Plans V World Turns' Wedding Set xAs All of Oakdale will the Daytime Lineup Shift Next Week KBYU-TV- , Channel 11, will have a new weekday lineup beginning the week of June 4 featuring new programs such as Today's Special (a new children's series) and Powerhouse, an exciting series for preteens, teens, and their families. 16-p- KBYU-Tsigns on at 6:15 a.m., Monday through Friday with Hooked On Aerobics, then continues with AM Weather at 6:45 a.m., and Through The Polka Dot Door at 7 a.m. The sparkling new children's series debut of Today's Special will air at 7:30 a.m. andagain at 1:30 p.m. and has all the ingredients to make it one of the most exciting additions to the language arts and preschool television schedule. The setting of the program is a department store after closing hours. Jeff, a dancing mannequin, magically comes alive each night and learns about the many things human beings take for granted fruit, families, with the help of music, etc. Jodie, a display designer, Sam, the puppet security guard, and Muffy, the mouse who speaks in rhyme. The television audience is also encouraged to help Jeff by calling out answers to quizzes and joining in songs and games. The Today's Special gang is periodically joined by special guest stars such as ballerina Karin Kain and jazz great Oscar Peterson, to explore the words of ballet, jazz, opera, and classical music.
