Show TV Page 6 - THE HERALD, Provo, Utah, Monday, May 28, 1984 Ask Dick What Was xWho Will Love My Children' Basis? By DICK KLEINER DEAR DICK: My family is very interested in finding out the name of the book (and its author) which the TV movie If ho Will Love My Children vat based on. We were touched by the story and the performance by and would love to read it. C.R., LaPuente, Calif. Unfortunately, it did not come from a book. The teleplay was written as an original, although it was based on a series of newspa Ann-Margr- et per articles that ran in Iowa. What are the circumstances surrounding the sudden departure of John Coleman, the weatherman who was on ABC's Good Morning America? Was he terminated? If so, why? C, La Porte, Ind. ABC tells me that Coleman left the show "amicably," but that can mean anything. He is now doing his weather reports on the local CBS channel in New York. DEAR DICK: My son and I disagree about an actor in the TV DEAR DICK: and play it often. Henry Mancini wrote it. It's called The Thorn-bird- s Theme, and he conducted the recorded version on the WB label. DEAR DICK: I would like to Moyers, Top Journalist Richard Strout, one of America's most distinguished journala veteran of reporting ists from Washington for The New Republic and The Christian Science Monitor joins Bill Moyers for Presidents and Politics With docRichard Strout, an hour-lon- g umentary Wednesday at 7 p.m. Strout has covered Washington and the White House since President Warren G. Harding played poker with the reporters in the pressroom. Strout's reports have chronicled events in our nation's capital, itself growing from small town to nerve center of the free world. In this retrospective view and recollection of the people and events that have kept the light burning through Washington nights, Strout speaks with Moyers about Presidents from Coolidge to Reagan, about impassioned plea for the Civil Rights Act. Of Strout, Bill Moyers says, s of this century "for so far, he has seen the lions of Washington prowl and fight and preen. Most interesting to me, he has recorded the other side of the public image, the human side both base and noble, which is like the backlight of a formal portrait and often reveals more than the face itself. A walk through the 20th century with Richard Strout is quite a stroll down Pennsylvania Avenue." g, son's three-fourth- f i GOODWILL TV Prompt Service Shop or Home 1 j 1649 N. 550 W., STORE HOURS: w r M PQuDiaD r;::rcuss r - PROVO cc:s scouts M-- F 7-- 377-95- SAT. 5 9-- 54 3 ma oo i .. & ..
