With the moral support from her best friend (Miss McMyler), Ellen presses for a job on the line. Overcoming resistance from the managers, her own union leaders and even her boyfriend (Nutter), she finally lands the job on a trial basis. The line foreman (Jaeckel), though skeptical of her ability to do the work, is willing to give her a fair chance.
