S Probably something is causing the socket of the fixture to overheat, fusing the bulb into the socket. Then when you try to remove it the bulb breaks off. Another possible cause is that the socket could be too slightly defective small perhaps. If this fixture is outside, moisture could be causing the metal collar of the bulb and the interior of the socket to corrode, also making removal difficult.
